NextMariner ApS ("NextMariner", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to operating the platform available at nextmariner.com and related applications and services (the "Platform") as a safe, professional and trustworthy environment for maritime professionals, shipping companies and maritime academies.
This Platform Responsibility Policy ("Policy") sets out our shared commitment to responsible use of the Platform, our responsibilities as the operator of the Platform, and the responsibilities we ask every user ("User", "you") to accept when creating an account or otherwise accessing or using the Platform.
This Policy supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use shall prevail unless this Policy expressly states otherwise.

We do not pre-screen all content submitted to the Platform and cannot guarantee that all content will comply with this Policy at all times. We rely on Users to conduct themselves responsibly and to report content or conduct of concern.
The Platform is intended for maritime professionals, shipping companies and maritime academies, and is not directed at children. To use the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country of residence for us to lawfully offer you the Platform without parental consent.
We do not knowingly permit individuals below the applicable minimum age to create an account or otherwise use the Platform.
The Platform is designed for use by adult maritime professionals, shipping companies and maritime academies in a professional context, and is not designed or intended for use by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from, or knowingly allow the creation of an account by, anyone below the minimum age set out in Section 3 (Eligibility and Age Requirements) of this Policy. If we become aware that a User does not meet the applicable minimum age, we will take reasonable steps to suspend or close the relevant account and to delete or anonymise the personal data collected from that individual, save to the extent we are required to retain it by law.
If you believe that a person below the applicable minimum age has created an account or is otherwise using the Platform, or that a child's personal data has been submitted to the Platform without appropriate consent, please report this to us immediately using the contact details in Section 10 (Contact Us) of this Policy, so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Parents or legal guardians who become aware that their child has created an account or otherwise provided personal data to the Platform should likewise contact us using the details in Section 10 (Contact Us) so that we can assist in resolving the matter.
As a condition of using the Platform, you agree to conduct yourself professionally, lawfully and respectfully at all times. In particular, you agree that you will not:
You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the Platform, including profile information, reviews, ratings, comments, job postings, messages, photos, credentials and other documentation ("Content"). You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit your Content, that it is accurate and not misleading, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate any applicable law.
Reviews and ratings of companies, academies and ships must reflect your own genuine experience and opinion, must be truthful, and must not be defamatory, discriminatory, or submitted for payment, in exchange for a benefit, or on behalf of a competitor.
Content and information made available on the Platform by other Users may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. We do not verify all Content submitted by Users, and your use of and reliance on such Content is at your own risk.
You must respect the intellectual property, privacy and other legal rights of NextMariner, other Users and third parties. You may not copy, distribute or publicly display Content obtained from the Platform, or otherwise use it, other than as permitted by the Terms of Use.
NextMariner owns and retains all rights, title and interest in and to the Platform, including its software, design, trademarks, logos and all content provided by us (excluding User Content). You may not use the name "NextMariner" or our logos other than as expressly permitted by us in writing.
If you become aware of Content or conduct on the Platform that you believe violates this Policy, our Terms of Use, or applicable law, please report it to us using the contact details in Section 10 (Contact Us) of this Policy.
We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and take appropriate action, which may include removing or restricting access to Content, issuing warnings, and suspending or terminating accounts, with or without prior notice, depending on the severity of the conduct concerned.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, each of which governs your use of the Platform.
We may amend this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, applicable law, or good industry practice. If we make material changes, we will notify Users, for example via the Platform or by e-mail, before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
