NextMariner ApS, a Danish startup founded in 2024, focuses on lowering the industry barriers by nurturing & securing maritime workforce. The NextMariner platform gives a holistic approach across technology and empower the growth of the maritime community.
Global cargo shipping is expected to grow at CAGR 7% from 2022 to 2031. This massive growth requires attention on green technologies & zero emissions, but also on its people. We know, balancing environmental sustainability, regulatory compliance and economic demands is vital for a prosperous, equitable and resilient future for maritime transport & our planet, as 80% of global trade relies on sea transport.
At NextMariner we focus on expediting the goal of transforming the maritime industry with its people and accelerate the equitable approach. We have keen interest in empowering motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly for underprivileged skilled candidates and women.
We believe, NextMariner is the world's only platform being built that uniquely connects maritime industry people and businesses with maritime opportunities, strengthening the industry by empowering its global maritime workforce. A vision for a more equitable maritime industry
As a former seafarer & with 18+ years of technical and commercial experience, I know that despite the vital role seafarers play, the distribution of value in the maritime sector remains unbalanced.
The high cost of maritime education, coupled with exorbitant interest rates, creates a significant financial burden for aspiring seafarers. And with a growing decline in seafarers and persistent gender inequality, it's clear that a disruptive model is needed to address these industry challenges and pave the way for a brighter future.
NextMariner, founded in 2024 with the mission to reshape the maritime careers and we believe that it's the world's only tech-based platform that uniquely connects maritime industry people and businesses, strengthening the industry by empowering its global maritime workforce.
Our goal is to dismantle the barriers that many, including myself, encountered in pursuing a maritime career. By prioritising accessibility, and inclusivity, NextMariner aims for long-term value creation between seafarers and maritime companies – making it a future of excellence.
